This process begins at the early stages of first contact, we take the time to observe and listen, then carefully research, program, and plan in order to provide affordable and accessible architectural services from rural communities to heavily populated cities.
In 1977, David Hitchcock ventured to the Sierra Nevada Foothills from the Bay Area and opened up an architectural practice serving the Bear Valley and Arnold areas, thus establishing Aspen Street Architects, Inc. Aspen Street Architects was the first and only practice, for multiple years, in Calaveras County. Designing and constructing the majority of the homes at Bear Valley Ski Resort in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, the firm quickly outgrew the initial office, finding a new home on Aspen Street in the high sierra town of Arnold, California, hence the name Aspen Street Architects. This marked the beginning of a company that would find its strength in personal, small town, rural California.
Aspen Street values our rural roots and appreciates any opportunity to be involved in giving back to our community. Aspen Street sponsors a variety of groups intended to fund our local businesses, schools, kids’ leagues, senior centers, community vendors, pregnancy centers, food banks and more.

Duties would include design and drafting (AutoCAD) for healthcare projects, acute-care, clinical, and assisted living. Experience with healthcare projects (OSHPD1/2/3) is preferred. Part time or full-time will be considered. Compensation to vary depending on experience and includes benefits after initial 90 day introductory period.
Duties would include providing support to architectural project managers by preparing contract and project documents and maintaining timely and accurate communication between contractors, agencies and clients. Additionally, assisting the Chief Financial Officer with budgets, payroll, and accounts payable and receivables. Proficient experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe. Part time or full-time will be considered.
